Director of Marketing and Communications
Anthony Ramos leads The Children’s Aid Society's (CAS) marketing and communications department, managing the public profile and image of CAS in all media. Since joining Children’s Aid in February 2011, Ramos has helped communicate CAS’s strategic objectives to key stakeholders, enhance its web presence through multimedia, and increase overall visibility, transparency and advocacy efforts.
Ramos came to Children’s Aid from the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), where he served as Director of Communications. In this role, he increased GLSEN’s brand equity and led all marketing, communications, and public relations efforts for the country's leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students. He successfully developed and launched Think B4 You Speak, a multimedia PSA campaign in partnership with the Ad Council. In addition, he spearheaded GLSEN’s efforts to promote the National Day of Silence and produced its annual Respect Awards events.
Prior to his work with GLSEN, Ramos managed communications functions for the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center as its Director of Communications and the National Hemophilia Foundation as its Manager of Communications and Marketing.
