Edgar R. Koerner, Chairman
Edgar Koerner began his involvement with CAS in 1988 when he joined our Board of Trustees. He served as Board president from 1993-1999 and, in 1999, was elected Board Chairman.
Now retired, Koerner formerly was Managing Director for Lehman Brothers and a partner in Kuhn Loeb and Company. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and received his MBA at Harvard Business School.
A U.S. Army veteran, Koerner has also served as trustee at the Turtle Bay Music School, the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, the Jane Coffin Childs Foundation for Medical Research, and Choice in Dying. In 2000, he was the recipient of the Child Welfare League of America's Board Leadership Award. Koerner is a published poet and the author of four CAS program booklets.
He currently resides in New York City.
