Janet Sellwood, Director of Human Resources

Janet Sellwood has a diverse background in administration in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, having lived and worked in the UK, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands before moving to the United States. Her experience in performance evaluation strategies, recruitment and retention, training, orientation and research have quickly made her a valuable resource for the agency and its staff.
She joined The Children's Aid Society in January 2002, to restructure the new Human Resources Department, after several years at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health and Services for the Underserved.
Ms. Sellwood received a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Wales, and a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She is certified through the Society for Human Resource Management as a PHR (Professional in Human Resources). She is also an Executive Committee member of PANO (Personnel Association in Non Profit Organizations).
