Director of Performance Management
Susan Fojas joined The Children’s Aid Society in September 2012 as Director of Performance Management. Susan collaborates with programs to develop and strengthen performance management systems that track progress toward client outcomes, drive accountability and learning, and promote a results-driven organizational culture. She also implements risk management systems to protect the organization’s financial strength and promote client and staff safety.
Susan has dedicated 15 years to leading the implementation of successful performance management systems in child welfare and other social service programs in New York City. She most recently served as the Associate Commissioner of Performance Measurement, Monitoring, and Improvement at the New York City Administration for Children’s Services, where she led the evaluation of quality of practice at the administration’s foster care and preventive agencies; managed system-wide implementation of new program models; and led performance improvement efforts that strengthened child welfare services.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Denver.
