History
The Children's Aid Society launched its community school partnership at the Arturo Toscanini complex in 2003. At that time, the existing school (I.S. 145) was divided into three middle schools, each serving students in grades 6-8.
The school is named after Arturo Toscanini, the internationally renowned cellist and conductor who lived in the Bronx until his death in 1957.
