Head Start

The Children’s Aid Society Head Start programs provide center-based and home-based early childhood experiences with the same multidisciplinary approach as Early Head Start.
In Head Start, children ages 3-6 are engaged in developmentally appropriate experiences that stimulate the growth of the child.
Family services are provided through social service staff on site at each of the programs.
Head Start programs at Children's Aid operate at East Harlem Center, Frederick Douglass Center, P.S. 5 and P.S. 8.
