This is an opportunity to use your creative personality and people skills for a great cause. The Membership and Outreach Committee will be discussing and brainstorming on the following points:
1. Organization outreach – we are trying to identify other organizations that would be good targets for recruiting volunteers.
2. Volunteer recruitment sessions set up by committee members - we would like to hold volunteer orientation sessions at as many different work places as possible to recruit the most diverse volunteer population possible. CAS is looking for volunteers with unique skills that could work on special programs.
3. Fundraising activities – we are going to be discussing possible funraising opportunities to raise money for the committee and the sites we will be working with.
4. One of the committee’s main goals this year is volunteer retention – committee members will meet once a month with volunteers at the site to check in with them and identify volunteer needs and issues, as well as to publicize other CAS volunteer resources and opportunities.
