Children’s Aid Society Receives 12th Consecutive 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator
Charity is First in History to Receive 12 Four-Star Ratings
NEW YORK, July 2, 2012 – For a record-breaking twelfth consecutive year, The Children’s Aid Society has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator, which published its latest ratings today.
Children’s Aid Society is the only organization in Charity Navigator history to receive 12 consecutive four-star ratings.
“Because we hold ourselves to high standards, we are proud to be recognized by Charity Navigator with an ‘exceptional’ evaluation. We know that these evaluations help donors make sound decisions about their philanthropy,” said Children’s Aid President and CEO Richard R. Buery, Jr. “We appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to proper stewardship once again.”
According to the evaluator’s web site, its “ratings provide clear, objective, and reliable assessments of the financial health of charities. By utilizing our ratings, givers can truly know how a charity's financial health compares with other charities throughout the country. Givers can be confident that in supporting those charities rated highly by Charity Navigator, they will be supporting organizations that are fiscally responsible and financially healthy.”
