NEW YORK – The Children’s Aid Society of New York City is pleased to announce the launch of its new YouTube Channel, www.youtube.com/childrensaidnyc. This YouTube Channel will provide Children’s Aid with the opportunity to showcase its many programs to established audiences as well as to new stakeholders and to grow support for the agency’s work. The channel currently features videos on Children’s Aid’s Community Schools; the Next Generation Center, Children’s Aid’s new teen center in the Bronx; a unique art program at a community school in the Bronx called TAPCO (Theater Arts Production Company Middle and High School) and Children’s Aid’s newest public service announcements (PSAs).
“YouTube will help us reach people who may be unfamiliar with Children’s Aid, and who may want to use our services, volunteer, donate, or otherwise lend their support,” says C. Warren Moses, CEO of The Children's Aid Society. “This is a marvelous way for nonprofits to reach out inexpensively and gain valuable exposure.”
YouTube, the leader in online video, is the newest medium that Children’s Aid is using to contact additional audiences.
The Children’s Aid Society was founded in 1853. It is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative non-sectarian agencies, serving 150,000 of New York’s neediest children and their families with a network of services that includes community schools, neighborhood centers, camps, adoption and foster care services, teen pregnancy prevention, education, health and recreation.
