New York City Children Celebrate Cultural Diversity During Kickoff Week with Marcus Allen

Children Explore Diversity Through Cooking Class at Children's Aid Society Boys & Girls Club

Former Raiders and Chiefs RB MARCUS ALLEN
50 New York City 3rd-6th grade students
WHAT:
To help celebrate NFL Kickoff, New York City children will team up with NFL Hall of Famer MARCUS ALLEN to explore culture in the kitchen through the NFL’s One World diversity program. The session will help students understand cultural connections and health benefits of foods from around the world. Kids will also join Allen in a cooking workshop to create a healthy cultural dish helped by Creative Kitchen founder and children’s author Cricket Azima and education specialist Shelley White.
Created following the events of September 11, 2001, the One World program, in partnership with Scholastic, encourages children to respect one another, value diversity, and take positive actions to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
