New York Times Neediest Cases Fund Giving Season is Here!

Each holiday season, The New York Times publishes daily articles that highlight the travails facing many of the city's neediest children, disabled and elderly. In recent years, this fundraising campaign has raised more than $8 million annually from 12,000 readers. The proceeds are distributed among The Children’s Aid Society and six other participating agencies.
Grants received from The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund go toward clothing, furniture, food, rent and other essentials for needy families. The Office of Public Policy and Client Advocacy (OPCCA) screens requests from these families and checks their eligibility for public benefits and other subsidies as well as provides legal advice and referrals during eviction proceedings. Thousands of families have benefited from OPPCA's work with The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund.
