Teams of volunteers visit Children's Aid community centers and schools to help with beautification, renovation and service projects.
This year, employees from UBS will be volunteering at CAS' East Harlem Center, a FGIC (Financial Guaranty Insurance Company) team will work at the Frederick Douglass Center and Fitch Ratings volunteers will help at CAS' Taft Early Childhood Center.

This year, P.S. 50 in East Harlem will celebrate Derby Day with a special community health fair. This health fair will provide much needed information and services to members of the community, many of whom lack access to preventive care and health insurance.
A mobile dental van operated by The Children's Aid Society with Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and sponsored by Crest will be on hand to provide cleanings and advice to children and parents on dental hygiene. CAS medical services staff will offer BMI (Body Mass Index) and blood pressure checks.
Children's Aid's public health insurance team, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Harlem East Lifeplan will provide information on general health and insurance issues. Interactive games and activity booths will give the fair a festive atmosphere, with giveaways and prizes provided by Metro Plus Health Plan.
