What:
On Wednesday evening, The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) Chorus will perform its 5th annual winter concert. The concert will showcase 13 ensembles made up of children in grades K-12 from The Children’s Aid Society’s centers in Greenwich Village, East Harlem, Central Harlem, Washington Heights and the Bronx.

The performances will cover a variety of song styles, including classical, rock, folk, jazz and gospel. An African drummer will open and close the program.

Who:
The Children’s Aid Society Chorus comprises approximately 225 children, ages 5-18, in thirteen local ensembles. The CAS Chorus seeks to foster the personal, musical and social growth of its choristers. Over the years the Chorus has performed at Gracie Mansion, the Morgan Library and the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, as well as on such television programs as NBC’s Today Show, Good Day New York on FOX and the CBS Early Show. No formal voice training or musical experience is required to join the Chorus.
