Youth Leadership
The Children’s Aid Society believes that teens benefit from training that will help them succeed in the adult world. Skills that we teach include conflict resolution, overcoming victimization, life skills, health education and violence and prejudice, as well as training in life skills and health education.
Our leadership programs include:
- Hope Leadership Academy gives youth a safe place to process their feelings and gives them skills to prepare for a career and prevent violence in their communities.
- Bronx Youth Council empowers youth to serve as advocates for community issues.
- JAM (Just Ask Me) Peer Educators and WISE (Well Informed in Sexuality Education) Teens educate youth about sexual and reproductive health and equip them to become peer educators about these issues.
