The staff at The Greenwich Village Center is delighted to welcome our youngsters to an exciting summer camp experience. The SUMMER CAMP program housed at our Center on Sullivan Street is for children ages 3 through 7 years old.

Summer Camp

Ages 3-7 (Nursery school through grade 1) Summer Camp takes place at our facilities on Sullivan Street in the heart of Greenwich Village. Our Center contains bright, spacious classrooms designed for the younger child, with a fully equipped kitchen for cooking projects.

Our large playground, which includes climbing structures as well as a water park, provides a colorful safe environment for outdoor play. For active play indoors we have a regulation size gym. Summer Camp activities will include arts and crafts, active games, swimming, cooking, field trips and special event days specifically geared to these younger ages.

All groups are scheduled for special activities which may include Pottery, Art, Music, Science, or Drama. Our 5-7 year olds (9 am-4 pm groups only!) have a daily swim at the nearby community pool with instructional swim as well as free play. Groups are small in size and vary between 15 and 20 children, supervised by a qualified counselor and assistant, as well as interns and volunteers. Campers supply their own lunches, and the Center provides juice and nutritious snacks daily. Children attending Summer Camp must be three years old by June 29, 2009.
