Visual Arts Summer Camps at PCC

The Philip Coltoff Center at Greenwich Village Center ARTS Program is proud to offer a Visual Arts Summer Camp for young people ages 8-14 at our Sullivan Street location.

Pre-Teens and Young Teens will have access to our working art studios and receive instruction from our talented and creative Arts staff. All levels are welcome--the only requirement is a sincere interest in the Visual Arts!

Students will work on collaborative projects in disciplines such as:

• Architectural and Perspective Drawing
• Sewing and Needlecrafts
• Jewelry Making
• Silk-screening & Printmaking
• Woodworking
• Pottery and Ceramics
• Illustration and Animation
• Photography
• Multi-media Movie-Making

Students will also have opportunities to work on individual projects, and each student will have their own sketchbook and camera.

Students will learn to feel comfortable expressing themselves artistically and within the group setting. We will participate in critiques, and learn how to present and exhibit our work.

Throughout the week (weather permitting) the children will take field trips to museums, galleries, parks, neighborhood attractions, pools and other places. In the past students have visited the Museum of the American Indian, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Drawing Center, The New York Skyscraper Museum and Central Park. We will be taking walking and subway trips. Students will be supervised at all times by our qualified instructors. Parent chaperones are welcome to accompany us on field trips.

REGISTRATION AND FEES
Sessions consist of a four week July session and a three week August session.You may sign up for individual weeks, one or both sessions.

SESSION 1
Tuesday, July 6 -- Fri, July 30

SESSION 2
Mon, August 2 – Fri, August 20

1 SESSION (4 weeks): $900.00
2 SESSION (3 weeks): $700.00
Individual weeks: $275.00

Camp fees cover attendance and all materials. There will be additional low-cost trip fees during the camp.

CAMP HOURS
The camp hours are 9am-4:30pm, with an extended day option from 4:30pm-6pm.

Extended hours (4:30pm-6pm) are $125.00 per session.
