NJ Launches Summer Crackdown On Underage Drinking (7/3/13)

Now that the New Jersey shore is open for business, police business up and down the coast can continue.

More than two dozen shore towns are taking part in an initiative called Cops in Shops. The objective is simple: stop underage drinking.

Undercover cops from various police departments along the shore -- including Point Pleasant, Seaside Heights and Belmar -- will pose as employees in liquor stores and bars to catch anyone under 21 trying to buy alcohol.
