Early Childhood
The Preschool programs focuses on meeting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the child as a whole. The curriculum enriches children’s development while being sensitive to individual abilities and learning styles. We recognize that each child’s family, culture and community play a vital role in their whole development. Children learn through active exploration in their environment and through meaningful interactions with peers and adults.
Volunteer's Role
Volunteers assist Daycare and Early Headstart/Headstart program staff working with 2-5 year olds. An emphasis is placed on: Basic Building Basic Literacy Skills, Dance and Movement, Arts and Crafts, and Recreational activities.
Volunteers should be creative and caring people interested in working with younger children. They should possess an eagerness to learn, and the ability to take direction.
