Volunteer Opportunities
The Children's Aid Society offers many types of opportunities for volunteers to make a difference by working with or on behalf of our children. With the range of choice available, we hope you can find a good fit for your interests and availability.
Areas include:

Early Childhood
Our early childhood & preschool programs allow volunteers to work in a fun and nuturing setting alongside staff teachers with children ages, 2-5yrs.

Mentoring
Mentors provide career exploration, life skills discussion groups, educational activities and academic support. Each program is overseen by a program facilitator who works alongside each mentor and guides them in completing the program activities and components.

Academic Enrichment (Tutor/Homework Help)
We offer one-on-one and small group tutoring programs to individuals seeking hands-on experience working with our youth. Our programs address the educational needs of children ages 5-11yrs. and 12-18yrs.

Volunteer Leadership (Associates Council)
Comprised of individuals who help shape the direction of the overall volunteer experience at The Children's Aid Society, the Associates Council is involved in event planning, fundraising, social issues and advocacy, and volunteer membership and outreach.

One-Time/Special Events
Several times a year, The Children's Aid Society offers those who are interested in participating on a one-time or limited basis the opportunity to join our volunteer family.
