Overview
Located in Yorkville on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Rhinelander Center’s Early Childhood Toddler Time Program offers young children a warm and nurturing first “classroom” experience.
Classes are designed for children ages 12-34 months. Each group enrolls children within a six-month age span to ensure that activities build confidence and are developmentally appropriate. Toddler Time includes playtime, art, music, snack and story time. Children enjoy the freedom to play, in our learning centers, and the structure of group activities while developing fine and gross motor and communication skills needed to successfully transition to nursery school.
Rhinelander has been offering Toddler Time classes for more than 20 years. Once known as a “Mommy and Me” class, Toddler Time now includes caregivers, dads, and grandparents. During classes, adults and children establish new friendships that often last for years.
Each Toddler Time class is led by two experienced teachers who are always available for guidance and advice. They encourage children and adults to make the most of their learning opportunities in the program.
The Toddler Time program also includes a Music & Art option for children ages 26 months and up; it is run by two specialty instructors. Students explore numerous materials including water colors, finger paints, clay and wood. Music activities include vocal play, animal sounds, an introduction to instruments and rhythm, and lots of silliness and fun. Classes start with art, continue to snack and story time and then transition to music.
Toddler Time has three class sessions per year:

Spring 2013: January 28 - May 24, 2013
Summer 2013: June 10 - July 31, 2013
